Job description

About ECP ECP is a market-leading SaaS solution that enables senior living communities to better care for their residents. ECP is used in over 8,000 communities. We're looking to further expand by increasing the number of customers that use our software and increasing the scope of how we serve our customers by developing and releasing new products. Senior living is deeply under-penetrated with software and ECP is one of the largest and fastest-growing software companies in the industry. We recently raised a growth round of equity to reinvest in our product, technology, and go-to-market. Our mission is to build world-class software that improves the quality of life for seniors and improves clinical, business, compliance, and operational performance for our customers. Position Overview We are seeking a Head of Business Development to help shape the next phase of our growth. This is a highly strategic, relationship-driven leadership role responsible for expanding and strengthening our network of senior living capital partners, owning and growing our integration marketplace, and elevating the execution and impact of our industry events. Success in this role depends on trust, credibility, and influence. The ideal candidate has spent years building authentic relationships across the senior living industry and is widely respected by operators, investors, and strategic partners alike. Key Responsibilities Capital Partnerships Develop, cultivate, and manage relationships with REITs, real estate private equity and other institutional investors, family offices, lenders, and other senior living capital partners. Identify and create opportunities that align capital providers with high-quality operating partners. Serve as a trusted advisor and connector across the industry. Represent the company in meetings, conferences, and strategic partnership discussions. Integration Network Own the strategy and continued expansion of our integration partner marketplace. Build relationships with technology vendors, strategic partners, and operators to strengthen our platform and market position. Identify new integration opportunities that create value for customers and partners. Ensure partnerships remain active, productive, and aligned with company objectives. Event Strategy & Execution Lead the planning and execution of industry events, executive roundtables, and partner experiences. Continuously improve event quality, attendance, engagement, and business outcomes. Leverage events as a platform to deepen relationships and strengthen our brand within the industry. What We're Looking For The ideal candidate brings: Extensive experience in the senior living industry A well-established network of genuine, long-standing relationships with operators, owners, investors, lenders, and strategic partners Experience working on both the capital side (investment, lending, acquisitions, development, or private equity) and the operator side (senior living operations, ownership, or management) A reputation for integrity, professionalism, and follow-through The ability to open doors because of who they are—not simply the company they represent Exceptional communication, relationship management, and business development skills Experience representing organizations at industry conferences and executive-level events Why This Role Matters This is more than a business development position. The Head of Business Development will become one of the most visible representatives of our company and a trusted connector across the senior housing ecosystem. You'll help shape strategic partnerships, strengthen our market presence, and create meaningful opportunities for operators, investors, and technology partners alike. We're looking for someone whose name carries weight in the industry—someone known for building lasting relationships, creating value for partners, and bringing people together to make great things happen. Requirements 5+ years of senior housing, assisted living, healthcare real estate, or related experience Demonstrated success sourcing and developing strategic partnerships Experience working with institutional capital, private equity, REITs, lenders, or family offices Strong understanding of the senior housing investment and operating landscape Ability to travel as needed, ~50% on average Originally posted on startup.jobs
