Job description
Staff Software Engineer (.NET / Azure) – 100% Remote (US EST) About Us We are a small, self-funded, and consistently profitable healthcare technology startup specializing in revenue cycle automation. We work closely with our clients to build exactly what we can deliver in the way they want to use it. We are looking for the next team member to build out automation, perfect a platform that they will come to own and share the technical cockpit. Why You’ll Love It Here If you are currently a Senior or Staff Engineer at a large corporation and find yourself spending 70% of your week in agile ceremonies, writing Jira tickets, and navigating office politics rather than shipping code, we built this company for you. We don't believe in micromanagement, and we don't have detailed, 30-page specification documents. We trade rigid guidelines for high autonomy, trusting you to see a problem, design a pragmatic solution, execute and then refine. What You'll Do Write Production Code: This is a heavy individual contributor role. You’ll be partnering directly with our CTO to design, build, and polish our modern .NET platform. Own Outcomes, Not Tasks: You will be given high-level problems and the freedom to solve them. You will be responsible for the architecture, execution, and stability of what you build. Leave it Better: We operate on a "leave things better than you found them" philosophy. You’ll proactively identify tech debt, refactor cleanly, and document your work so the team stays fast and unblocked. Engage with the Team: Because we are remote, you need to be comfortable bringing your personality to the table. We don't need code robots; we need a communicative, collaborative peer who actively participates in our async culture. What We Are Looking For Location: 100% Remote, but restricted to the United States. A strong preference for candidates living in the EST or CST time zones to facilitate occasional real-time collaboration. Tech Stack Expertise: You must be highly fluent in the modern .NET ecosystem (.NET Core), C#, Azure cloud infrastructure, and SQL . Startup Mindset: You are a self-starter who doesn't wait to be told what to do. If you see a gap in our documentation, you fill it. If you see a bug, you fix it. If you see a feature we need, you add it. High Accountability: We never hold you to something you don’t agree to, but you do what you say you’re going to do. You set your own deadlines, when things go wrong - you jump in and focus on the issue. Corporate Refugees Welcome: Ideally, you have spent time in corporate software engineering, learned what not to do, and are looking for a smaller, saner team where your impact is visible every single day. What We Offer The stability of an established, profitable business with the agility and upside of an early-stage startup. True autonomy over your work, schedule, and technical decisions. A highly respectful and pragmatic work culture alongside mature founders who respect your time and expertise. Originally posted on startup.jobs
